-Simple leaf, linear, 2-5 inches long
-Leaves turn yellow then brown and are retained through early winter

Note:   Well adapted to urban conditions, the Willow Oak makes an excellent street tree although not widely available in the nursery industry.  The long linear leaf gives this species a much finer texture compared to other oaks. The foliage is similar to willow species (Salix spp.).
